Projects

Traditional media, digital/design, concept creations and 3D creations.

I worked on a series of games for game companies coming out of Texas, making churn-mill game apps. In this time, it was a requirement to orchestrate the production of up to 20 games at a time. Be it in the form of think tanks, managing and working with offshore teams on multiple games, focusing on skill at home for a few others, or being left to my own devices and creating a game in as little as 2 hours. Offshore competition created an unreal expectation of pay, but as necessity is the mother of all ingenuity, I reused assets across games, curated and produced a catalog of high-quality commercial-use musical scores, and built and trained their QA.

Jump Jax

This mobile game was inspired from a previous game I made with WiNF Studios called Jumping Jax's Jailbreak. In this recreation, I rebuilt the entire game in Gamemaker, upgraded the art and music and changed the game loop to be an infinite jumper (as opposed to the originals level based game). I also tweaked the power ups and enemy behaviors.

Inspired by the original soundtrack's electronic grittiness composed by Alex Tomasino, I decided to go continue the electronic music vibe, only this time around I leaned into "minimal" beats I composed on a Bose Doctor Rythm Secrion 5.

Theseus VS. The Minotaur

As a kid, I was fascinated by Sokoban-style puzzles I played on PC. Drawing inspiration from these, I designed a set of 20 challenging levels (and 3 bonus levels) all based in the captivating world of Greek Mythology.

To bring my vision to life, I took on a range of roles, including designing the graphics, creating the musical score, and developing the sound effects. Working alongside my partner at WiNF Studios, we managed to integrate a host of features into the game, including achievements, in-app purchases, and responsive touchscreen controls.

This game was released on Android, iOS, and Tizen.
